Email for freelancers, on your own domain
A freelancer’s inbox is the business: contracts, invoices and client files all pass through it. Secria Mail puts you@yourname.com on Mail Plus for $3.99 a month, stores every message in your mailbox with zero-access encryption, and end-to-end encryption is on by default. No business suite and no per-user pricing.
- Custom domain on paid plans
- Zero-access encryption
- Web, iPhone and Android

Why it matters
What does a freelancer’s inbox hold?
Everything a client trusts you with, and everything you need to get paid.
Contracts and NDAs
Signed agreements, statements of work and the confidentiality terms you promised to keep.
Invoices and bank details
Every invoice carries your payment details, and your clients’ replies carry theirs.
Client data
Briefs, drafts, logins and files that belong to someone else and were sent to you in confidence.
Your name
An address on your own domain looks like a business and stays yours. Mail from it has to be set up correctly to arrive: Google tells everyone who sends to Gmail accounts: “Set up SPF or DKIM email authentication for your sending domains.”1
One inbox, four jobs
Four jobs your email does, and where Secria fits
| Question | What is at stake | With Secria Mail |
|---|---|---|
| Keeping client work confidential | Contracts and client files stay in your mailbox for years. | Every message in your mailbox is stored with zero-access encryption. |
| Getting paid | Clients need to know an invoice really came from you. | Send from billing@ on your own domain, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC records Secria checks for you.1 |
| Keeping clients apart | One leaked address should not expose every client and tool. | An alias per client or tool. Delete one without touching the rest. |
| Staying reachable | Your address is on every proposal, invoice and profile you have sent. | Your domain keeps the address yours whatever provider you use. |

Questions about email for freelancers
What email should a freelancer use?
A professional address on your own domain, such as you@yourname.com, in a mailbox that keeps contracts, invoices and client files private. Secria Mail does both on Mail Plus and Pro.
Do I need a business plan for a custom domain?
No. Custom domains come with Mail Plus, a personal plan at $3.99 a month on monthly billing, and with Secria Pro. You pay for your account, not per user.
Can I have separate addresses for clients and billing?
Yes. Create aliases such as billing@ and hello@ on your own domain, or one alias per client, and reply from any of them. Mail Plus has 15 aliases and Secria Pro has unlimited.
Will my address change if I switch providers later?
No. When the domain is yours, the address is yours. Point the domain’s DNS records at another provider and people keep writing to the same place.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan has 1 GB, 2 aliases and 3 folders, with the same encryption as every paid plan and no card required. Custom domains come with Mail Plus and Pro.
Can I bring my existing mail?
Yes. Secria imports MBOX files, EML files and Outlook PST files on every plan, free included. MBOX and EML files are read and encrypted in your browser before upload.
Your name on the address. Your keys on the mail.
Your own domain on Mail Plus or Pro.
