Email aliases built into your inbox

An email alias is an extra address that delivers to your inbox, so you can sign up for things without giving out your real one. In Secria Mail, aliases are part of your encrypted mailbox, not a forwarding service bolted on. Reply from any alias, and delete it when the spam starts.

Secria Mail's inbox with the address menu open, listing every alias, and mail sorted into colored folders and labels.

What aliases are for

One address per part of your life

  • Shopping and sign-ups

Give each store its own alias. If one gets breached or sold to a marketing list, you know which one, and you can delete it.

  • Newsletters

Keep subscriptions on an alias so your main address only hears from people.

  • Selling, renting and dating

Talk to strangers from an address you can throw away later, without them learning your real one.

  • Work and side projects

Separate identities in one inbox, each with its own display name. On paid plans, put them on your own domain.

Alias vs forwarding vs plus address

Aliases in Secria Mail

Everything you do with an alias, in one place

  • Create in seconds

Make one alias or a batch at once, on a Secria address or, on paid plans, on your own domain.

  • Send and reply as the alias

Pick any alias in the From field. Replies to mail sent to an alias go out from that alias automatically.

  • Give it a name

Set a display name per alias, so a project or a shop sees the name you choose.

  • Regenerate or delete

Spam on an alias? Regenerate it for a fresh address, or delete it for good.

  • Catch-all on your domain

On your own domain, a catch-all address picks up mail to addresses you never created.

  • Same protection everywhere

Mail to every alias is sealed with your keys and post-quantum encryption, trackers are removed, and senders never see your IP address.

Questions about email aliases

What is an email alias?

An email alias is an extra address that delivers to the same inbox as your main one. You hand out the alias instead of your real address, and you can delete it the moment it starts getting spam.

Is an alias the same as forwarding?

No. Forwarding passes mail on to a separate inbox somewhere else. A Secria alias is part of your mailbox, so mail to it lands directly in your encrypted Secria inbox and never takes a detour.

Can I send and reply from an alias?

Yes. Choose the alias in the From field when you write. When you reply to mail sent to an alias, Secria sends from that alias automatically, so your main address stays private.

Are email aliases safe?

An alias is only as private as the inbox behind it. With Secria, mail to every alias is sealed with your keys, tracking pixels are removed automatically, and senders never see your IP address.

What is the difference between an alias and a plus address?

A plus address like you+shop@example.com still contains your real address, so anyone can remove the tag and write to you directly. An alias is a separate address that doesn’t reveal your main one.

How many aliases can I have?

2 on the free plan, 15 on Mail Plus and unlimited on Secria Pro. On paid plans you can create aliases on your own domain too.
